Welcome to Saychailaotai Party!

Welcome to Saychailaotai Party - 24March2012 @ Bonnyrigg Sports Club (Sydney, Australia)

The Party was open by SLFS President, Mr Bounnhing Onemany who gave a speech to welcome Distinguished Guests.

The speech was interpreted into English language by Phayvanh Phoumindr, in order to engage all guests, especially those Australian guests who could not understand Lao language.
Early in the Party, we heard the guests saying that "everything was so precised and in good order".  We tended to agree with the comment.  Here, everybody was eating quietly and orderly.  BUT ...

But wait, when you just thought they were orderly.  Look here, once the music was on - people jumped out of their seats and ... wow ... the rest of the night was full of joy and energy!  Thank you all!

A model couple

President of SLFS Mr Bounnhing Onemany and Mrs Lay Onemany.  A model couple in Lao community.  They always work hard and sacrifice their time for Lao community.
Mrs Bounhom Souvannalay, Secretary of SLFS, at the entrance of the Hall, with Mrs Phayvanh Phoumindr Executive Advisor to SLFS.

History of Saychailaotai

Phayvanh Phoumindr (Ex-President), Executive Advisor to SLFS giving a speech on brief history and about Founders of SLFS.  On the stage were MC Khammao Xayarath and Ajarn Khotamy Phothisaranasouk, also Ex-President and currently Executive Advisor to SLFS.
Phayvanh Phoumindr received a Certificate of Appreciation for her leadership and contribution to SLFS from Ajarn Khotamy Phothisarasouk.  The Certificate is signed by the current President Bounnhing Onemany and Mr Chansamone Vongsaphay, a most Senior and Honorary Advisor to SLFS.  Congratulations!

Men Force of SLFS

Serious discussion - about money perhaps?
Here are the men force of SLFS - gentlemently and working hard from Left - Vice President Phounsavath Souvannalay, Big Brother Bouasy Sourignavong, Fund raising Coordinator Viengsamay Thepsourinthone, President Bounnhing Onemany and Treasurer Khamsing Inthapanya.

Working hard

Inside the Hall, Mr Bounta Chanthaleusy (a Senior of SLFS) and his wife were there among the earliest to ensure that all guests were warmly welcome.
While outside at the entrance, the team was also busy and working hard.  From letf, Mr Bouakham Souriyavong (Welfare & Promotion Committee), Mr Khamsing Inthapanya (Treasurer), Solicitor Sengdeaune Do (Public Officer), Minh Souriyavong and Chansiri Phoumindr.

Money money money

The mighty team of SLFS work hard in organising and now it's time to count money, led by the Treasurer, Mr Khamsing Inthapanya.  His assistant consisted of the lovely ladies - Sengdeaune Do, Minh Sourignavong and Bounlay Vorarath.  Wow ... we can see a lot of coins there?
Chansiri Phoumindr (Middle) was working hard folding the raffle tickets.  She was lucky to have active helpers like Mrs Sengchansouk Phimmachanh (wearing purple) and Sengdeuane Do.  Phayvanh was there to give them encouragement (hai gum lung chai!)

And the winner is ...

Mr Reungsak Pholsena (L) and Mr Bouasy Sourignavong (R) both SLFS Seniors supervised the raffles draw.  MCs Khammao and Khamsene were looking for a Distinguished Guest to come and pick a lucky person.  There were 3 major prizes to be won ... Are you ready?

Mrs Onemany (The President's lovely and mighty wife) accepted the 1st prize of $400 from Solicitor Sengdeaune Do on behalf of a lucky guest.

Lots of support

Mr Champa Baramy from the Lao Seniors Group and Mrs Bounthom Baramy were among the distinguished guests.
Mr Nhouaykham Xanoubane (President of Lao Teachers Society) and his partner Nancy were there to show support.

SLFS Seniors

Mr Thongdam and Mrs Keo Souriyavong, SLFS Party won't have a "Lao Tai" spirit without them (although Mrs Keo is from Vientiane but she loves Lao Tai accent!).  Mr Thongdam is an Ex-President and is currently an Executive Advisor to SLFS.
Mr Souloth Kittikhoun and Mrs Kittikhoun were there to support Lao Tai young generation.  Thank you!

Thong Long Ngum is always there

Mr Deth Nhangnouvong (wearing red) from Thong Long Ngum with Khamsene (Vice Treasurer of Saychailaotai & also MC of the night).  TLN President Mr Pany Keomalavong and Mme were there too but they were too fast to capture them on photo.  Thank you TLN for always being there for Lao community.
