Introducing the new Management Committee of SLFS (2011-13)

Mr Boungninh Onemany, new President of SLFS (2011-13).  Mr Bounghinh is definitely not a new face in whatever way you put it.  He has been involved with SLFS since its birth.  He is also a man with many talents - a DJ and Panel Controller of Champa Radio SWR FM99.9, a professional photographer, an adventurer and a singer.  His relaxing but assertive attitude has earned him acceptance and respect in Lao community.  SLFS under his leadership is anticipated to be a very interesting and unforgettable chapter!
Mr Phongsawatt Souvannalay, a quiet achiever.  Probably, not many people have heard about Phongsawatt.  But his great contribution to SLFS in a quiet manner was noticeable and led to the nomination as Vice-President, where the Management Committee accepted unanimously.  The President elect indicates that he is very happy to have Phongsawatt, a man with dignity, as Vice-President.

New Management Committee

Left: Viengsamay Thepsourinthone, Co-ordinator of Event Organising & Fund-raising Committee.  Viengsamay is a very busy man with work and with his sound promotion activities.  However, that has never stopped him from being very active with SLFS.  He is the greatest force when it comes to event organasing.  Here he is discussing seriously with Ajarn Khotamy about organising an upcoming event.
Right:  Mr Khamsing Inthapangna, many-terms Treasurer.  Unarguably, Mr Khamsing is one of the most effective Treasurers in the history of SLFS.  He remembers the names, addressess, Unit Nos of SLFS members by heart.  He also knows precisely who has or has not paid the membership fee etc.  Here he is seen providing a receipt to Soukanh (Leader of Unit No 8).

The female force in SLFS

Solicitor Sengdeuane Do, Public Officer of SLFS.  Sengdeuane has just joined SLFS Management Committee but she has been a very supportive member.  Sengdeaune is well known in the Lao community, not only for her good solicitor service but also for her generosity with donation and great contribution in every possible way to Lao community.
Bounhom Souvannalay, 2nd term as Secretary and has brought in SLFS a lot of new ideas.  Bounhom is currently doing a Diploma in Interpreting at Granville Technical and Further Education.  Back in Laos, she studied Law and Medicine and has worked in the Public Health Ministry in Laos.
Bounlay Vorarath, 2nd term Vice-Secretary.  Bounlay has been very active accessing the members of SLFS to find out what their needs are.  With her constructive and pro-active approaches, she will definitely prove to be a great asset to SLFS.  Bounlay was graduated as Mathematics teacher in Laos and has taught for a while.  She is currently doing a Diploma in Interpreting at Granville Technical and Further Education.

New Management Committee

Mr Nikone Sibounheuang, Ex-President, Executive Advisor and one of the Founders of SLFS.  Mr Nikone is very active in developing the community.   He is current one of the major force in the construction of Phatthasima at Wat Pah Buddhalavarn in Wedderburn.

Mr Reugsak Pholsena, Promotion and Welfare Committee.  Mr Reungsak newly joined the Management Committee but has shown great interest in SLFS.  He studied Medicine in Laos although he does not practise here.
Khamsene Sychampanakhone, Vice-Treasurer.  Khamsene is also new with the Management Committee but he comes with very useful skills and knowledge.  Khamsene is the team leader of Lao Champa Media where they broadcast at Champa radio SWR FM99.9 every Sunday from 10 to 12 pm.  He is also ex-President of Lao Artists Association in NSW and has been very pro-active when it comes to developing the community.

New Management Committee (2011-13)

Mr Bounta Chanthalusy,  Internal Financial Auditor, a Senior and one of the Founders.  Mr Bounta is well known for his strict financial auditing.  The treasurer and his team have to work hard before the financial report is accepted by Mr Bounta.  Therefore SLFS fiancial report has always been flawless.

Dr Kaysone Phichit, Promotion and Welfare Committe, also a Senior and one of the Founders.                  Dr Kaysone was SLFS Vice-Treasurer for many terms.  Dr Kaysone is now retired from his job in the operation room in the hospital.
Ajarn Khotamy Phothisaranasouk, Promotion and Welfare Committee Co-ordinator.  Ajarn Khotamy was Ex-President, Public Officer and one of the Founders of SLFS.  He is therefore one of the prominent icons of SLFS.  He was a Math/Chemistry teacher in Laos and is usually referred to as "Ajarn Kho" by his ex-students at Lycee de Pakse.

SLFS Management Committee

Mr Bouakham Souriyavong, Promotion and Welfare Committee.  Bouakham is a long-term and active Management Committee member of SLFS.  Bouakham is doing a Diploma of Interpreting at Granville Technical College.
Mr Phoupheng Vorarath, Promotion and Welfare Committee, one of the pioneers with a true Lao Tai spirit.  He has been a continuing force in progressing SLFS.  Phoupheng loves singing and has one album with some old and new Lao songs.  The album has been well received within the Lao community.

Soukanh Phoumindr, Leader of Unit No 8, a young force in SLFS.  Soukanh has shown new ideas and initiatives in the meetings.  Some of his proposals make the senior management stop and think, and many times the seniors say: "that sounds like a good idea umm ...".

Mr Boungning Onemany “ໜຸ່ມໃຫຍ່ໄຟແຮງ” with many talents - professional photographer, DJ, Radio broadcaster, skillful skier, parachuter, singer (he can sing pop songs, morlum and yes ... Elvis's songs!) to name a few.  He is Lao Tai boy from the Southest of Laos - Muang Khong, Siphandone Province.  Back home, he was a sangkaliwat. Therefore he is very closed to Buddhism.  Ai Gning is well-known for his straighforwardness - a true Lao Tai blood.  Sounds like Saychailaotai is going to have heaps of exciting activities and fun.  Good on you ai Gning!
